as distractions and escapes drifting away
falling away feeling unaccustomed to isolation
missing the rhythms of “Matchday”over days
and days with greater problems to face
where clarity is anticipated
at the epicenter of outbreaks
“Wishing for opening day”
as a paraphrase for “Playing it safe”
heading straight for “The Hall of Fame” ...
