The emptiness outdoors joyless indoors
feeling cut off harrowing choices
of “no choice at all” no honking horns
nor footfalls sniffing of flower stalls
loud alarm calls briskly walking dogs
abruptly laid off missing the endorphins
of power walking turning to taffy
twisting of the facts replete with habits
of blatantly pushing back evoking panic
all with a gravelly accent by contesting
the trigger happy hawking “perception
over reality” ad libbing with a slippery
binky while tripping into a risky odyssey...
