“Turbocharged”

Turbocharged arias
as memoirs
for imaginary friends
in peril
from self-contempt
due to decadence
plus a prideful desire
to reach way up
to the heavens
when feeling
allegedly threatened
by prophetic
repetitive numbnesses
with penchants
for fearing dreaded
pandemics
screening redemptive
happy endings
for sleuthy
scene-stealing
dogs appearing
in detective stories
on every continent
but Antarctica
post Fat Tuesday
Super Tuesday
plus Two-for-Tuesdays
cleaving dents in the universe
as moments of truth
like cheeky musicals
being played “live”
on cruise ships while living
under strict quarantine
and watching sleeper hits
virally spouting greetings of “Chiao!” ...
